Questions about the Memofix product and label
What the bottle is, what the front label means, and who stands behind it.
What is Memofix?
A capsule dietary supplement. The bottle reads "MemoFix", "Extra Strong Formula" and "60 Capsules" under a brain-outline logo.
Is Memofix a gummy or liquid drops?
Neither. It comes as capsules, and the shell is hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, a plant-based capsule.
What does "Extra Strong Formula" mean?
It is a product name printed on the label. It is not a measured strength, and no test compares it with other products.
Who makes Memofix?
The label names Memofix of Pinellas Park, Florida, as distributor, and says it was made in the USA. Gomemofix sells it as an authorized retailer; it is not the maker.
Did FDA approve Memofix?
No. FDA has no power to approve dietary supplements before sale (FDA, Supplement Q&A). The label's FDA registered facility line is about the building, not the product.
Are there Memofix customer reviews?

Memofix ingredient and evidence questions
Five ingredients, each with a printed amount. The research on them is mixed, and none of it tested Memofix.
What is in Memofix?
Per 2 capsules: BCAAs 2:1:1 540 mg, bacopa monnieri extract 200 mg, rhodiola rosea extract (3% salidroside) 100 mg, L-theanine 100 mg and Panax ginseng extract 90 mg. That adds up to 1,030 mg.
Is any Memofix ingredient hidden in a blend?
No. Every ingredient has its own printed amount, so you can compare each one with research doses.
Will Memofix improve my memory?
Nobody can promise that, and no trial of Memofix exists. Bacopa alone, at 300-450 mg for 12 weeks, improved some recall tests in small trials (Pase et al., 2012).
How close are the doses to research?
Close for the herbs. Bacopa 200 mg vs 300-450 mg, rhodiola 100 mg at the low end, L-theanine 100 mg vs 200 mg, ginseng 90 mg near the low end of its range (LiverTox, Ginseng). Details are on the Memofix ingredients page.
Why are BCAAs the largest ingredient?
The brand did not say. At 540 mg they are about 5% of the 10-14 g used in muscle studies, and they have no memory research (ODS, Exercise supplements).
Does ginseng help thinking?
A Cochrane review found no convincing evidence of a thinking benefit in healthy people (Geng et al., 2010 (Cochrane)).
What does "3% salidroside" mean?
The rhodiola extract is standardized to contain 3% salidroside, one of its marker compounds. The bacopa and ginseng extracts list no such strength.

How do you take Memofix? Common questions
The directions are short: 2 capsules, water, and a set time before a meal.
How do I take Memofix?
The label says: "As a dietary supplement, take two (2) capsules daily with an 8 oz. glass of water. For best results, take 20-30 min before a meal or as directed by your healthcare professional."
Should both capsules go down at once?
The label gives 2 capsules as one daily serving and does not mention splitting them. Take them together, as written.
What if I forget a day's capsules?
Skip it and take your usual 2 capsules the next day. Doubling up is not part of the label directions.
How long does one bottle last?
30 days. It holds 60 capsules, and you take 2 a day.
When might I notice anything?
Nobody knows for Memofix. Bacopa studies measured results at 12 weeks (Kongkeaw et al., 2014), which is longer than the 60-day refund window. See the Memofix results timeline.
How should I store the bottle?
"Keep away from heat, light, and humidity to preserve freshness." A closed kitchen cabinet away from the stove is a good spot.

Memofix safety and health questions
Safety data exist for the single ingredients, not for Memofix as a product.
Does Memofix have side effects?
No side-effect data exist for the product itself. Its herbs can cause stomach upset, nausea, dry mouth or headache (bacopa) (LiverTox, Bacopa), and dizziness or insomnia (rhodiola) (NCCIH, Rhodiola).
Can I take Memofix with my medicines?
Ask your doctor or pharmacist first. Ginseng may lower blood sugar and has mixed reports with warfarin (NCCIH, Herb-drug interactions); rhodiola was reported to interact with losartan (NCCIH, Rhodiola).
Who should check with a doctor before use?
The label names pregnant or nursing mothers, anyone under 18 and people with a known medical condition.
Can I take more than 2 capsules for a stronger effect?
No. The label says "Do not exceed recommended dose."
Does Memofix contain allergens?
The label says "Contains No Allergens". The other ingredients are microcrystalline cellulose, the plant-based capsule and magnesium stearate.
My memory is getting worse. Should I try Memofix?
See a doctor first. Memory problems that affect daily life need a checkup, and causes such as thyroid problems, low B12 or medicines can be treated (NIA, Memory problems).
